Mercedes Rosende (Montevideo, Uruguay) has a degree in Law and an MA in Integration Policies. Her literary noir novels Mujer equivocada (Wrong Woman), El miserere de los cocodrilos (Crocodile Tears), Que ganas de no verte nunca más (Black Hole) are translated in German, English and Italian, forthcoming in French. Film/TV adaptation rights for all three novels have been optioned. She was the winner of the German LiBeratur Preis 2019.
