Gianni Agostinelli was born in 1978 in Panicale, Italy. He is a journalist and a writer. His debut Perché non sono un sasso (Why I Am Not a Stone, Del Vecchio, 2015) was chosen among the finalists of the Calvino Prize for 2014. More recently, he has published Resti (Remnants, Italo Svevo Edizioni, 2020) and Il trucco è resistere (Piano B, 2021), a novelization of the life of Carlo Airoldi. His stories have appeared on various magazines such as Nazione Indiana and Doppiozero.
